We CANNOT go back to life before high-CBD!
January 16th will be 4 months on Industrial Hemp Oil! Oh My Goodness is that ALL?!? I can’t even begin to imagine Harper without Hemp! They can’t stop making it! We can’t go back to the way things were! On our bad days with Hemp, like with any “bad” day I get a disappointed and bummed for Harper and her situation but then immediately I think, “Wow I would have considered this a “good” day four months ago… and now I’m bummed about it?”
A recap of hemp oil “Gold” and “Black”
To recap, the week prior to starting Industrial Hemp Oil Harper had 64 seizures. After about eight weeks she plateaued at about 35 per week. Then a new year came!

Harper takes “Black” Industrial Hemp Oil but you know they do make “Gold” which is the “Black” Hemp filtered one more time. I do think there is value in taking the “Black” because it is more whole plant based and less about filtering out only the CBD. However, in Harper’s tough seizure situation I have been told a combo of the two has been beneficial.
Now remember I tried adding the “Gold” in the past at minimum dosing of 1-2ml per pound of body weight and I really thought it was having a negative affect on her seizure activity. It was suggested to me that sometimes in a plateau situation it is beneficial to add HIGH quantities of “Gold” for a week or two and then go back to normal dosing.
How many grams in a milliliter again?
Remember I’m not a scientist or Industrial Hemp expert!…. I AM JUST A MOM!
I added 20 drops of “Gold” to Harper’s medication schedule 3 times per day. It only took a few days to realize the night time dose was a bad idea! The kid was up!! Not cool! So I decreased the night time does to 8 drops.
Where did I get these numbers?…….
MY HEAD! Random Number to start with and see how it went! I told you, I’m just a Mom! I had enough “Gold” to do this for a week and a half.
Harper’s overall seizure activity declined when I did this.
Week One (adding high amount of “Gold”) = 22 seizures
Week Two with one day left to count = 14 seizures
I ran out of “Gold” on Wednesday January 8th. The day she stopped taking the “Gold” she had 5 seizures. 🙁 Bummer! Even running out half way through the week we have an improvement in seizure activity.
HOWEVER, the BIGGEST thing “Gold” did for us:
Harper SINGS!
Harper wants to say NO!
Bottom Line: I’m waiting on my shipment of “Gold.” Harper will now be taking both “Black” AND “Gold” Industrial Hemp Oil….and we will see where that leads.
