It’s in God’s hands now! May we be accepting of the answer provided with feelings of gratitude toward those Doctors who provide them regardless of what the answer may be.

We saw the metabolic team this afternoon.  This morning I met with the “fellow” doctor who collected all the information I was presenting on Harper’s case, what I was looking for and why.  Late afternoon I saw him along with the team of metabolic specialists at which point I had to state my case on Harper’s behalf and why my requests were valid.  They are hesitant to perform the requested tests on Harper because her condition, to my knowledge, has NEVER been addressed from a carbohydrate metabolic processing perspective before.  They feel it might be more beneficial to use a more scientific approach to evaluate my theory’s based on the information I have gathered.  However, in the mean time we blindly do trial and error processes which this time led us to such intense seizures Harper now has TMJ (Temporomandibular Joint Disorder) and continues to suffer daily.  The dentist has to come in tomorrow and reposition her jaw.  By the grace of God I was able to present a valid enough argument that they left with much to discuss and decide what assistance they could, if any, provide as they were originally here to tell me they didn’t feel they could help Harper.  They will be returning tomorrow and the answer they give is a final one from this Hospital’s metabolic team.  This was my one shot with this team that we have searched 10 months to find.  A peace surrounds me in knowing that blessings will come to Harper regardless of the decision made tomorrow; however, my heart aches at the thought of being denied, yet again, the opportunity for Harper to possibly obtain better seizure control.

This is an emotional journey, but I am reminded of God’s love in a peace, within my breaking heart for Harper, knowing that His blessings have already been given to her as she continues to be in His presence even without the gift of healing at this time.
