In the six weeks prior to starting hemp oil Harper had 210 visible seizures
Harper has what is known as “Spasms” not “Infantile Spasms” because Harper is no longer an infant. During these, we have rapid eye movement, pupil dilation and constriction, rolling and locking of eyes up and to one side, breath holding, screaming, teeth grinding, jaw locking, gagging, arms and legs stiffen then relax… All of this can happen in one seizure cluster lasting from 30 seconds to ten minutes plus.
And those are just the visible ones we are able to catch.
Since starting HempMedsPx High-CBD Industrial Hemp Oil six weeks ago, Harper has had 76 seizures
Her seizures have decreased by nearly two-thirds.
With that seizure decrease Harper has experienced increased: awareness, eye contact, alertness, verbal and physical communication, purposeful movement, command responses. We LOVE the verbal communication but it is killing our sleep! We are so impressed with her and want to encourage it…NEVER want to lose it, but OH if we could only sleep! 😛 HA!

We have been blessed with relief and progress for the time being and we are grateful. I’m not sure if we will ever lose the fear that this could all end
Harper is now on a “Gold” and “Black” combo dose that we have come up with ourselves just by trial and error. We think the whole plant base from the “Black” is beneficial but we felt like more CBD might help gain better control. So the most economical way to increase her CBD was to add “Gold” to the mix.
The first week of doing this was a rough week where we thought the Gold was increasing/prolonging her seizures. But we pressed on and by the second week of increased “Gold” added to the “Black” we saw significant improvement.
I’d love to know what I’m actually supposed to be dosing her at, but since it’s working we don’t stress over it. At this time Harper gets an inch-long strip of “Black” and 4 drops of “Gold” 3 times per day. What does that mean from a “ratio” standpoint…
I have no clue! But for Harper, it means BETTER DAYS.
I have no idea how long this ride will last or what the end result will be from it. But for now if it ends tomorrow I am so happy that Harper got six weeks of relief….and we got six weeks to see her personality.
